Jesus is a socialist

Many years ago I worked as a verger at Llandaf Catheral. There I engage in a interesting political discussion with one of the Stewards, John Davies. John was a dedicated Tory.              
However he made this extraordinary comment. "you know Jesus was a true socialist~ i thought to myself maybe there is not such a wide gap and that Jesus was the bridge.
