Cardiff Central Library

I would have given it a one star, but for the hard working library staff that are helpful and just unhappy about how this and other Cardiff libraries have been treated. Today I went and checked out the newly refurbished library. Even before it was closed, I was unhappy at the selection of books they have, even popular books were in the stacks which is located somewhere else, and you have to wait at least 3 days for your book (if they have it!!). The Local Studies library has been removed to some other part of Cardiff, and is a sad loss. Most places I have lived local studies was located in the main library. The cabinet member told me to check out the digital section, which I did, just a whole load of empty PCs and iPads. The purpose of the library is to check books and to study, this "hub" concept is nothing more than a government office with books in it. A great shame!
