A possible use for David Tennant's Dr, if he's up for it

Now here's an interesting idea for David Tennant's Fourteenth Doctor, especially given the "bi-generation" that occurred in the 60th-anniversary specials, which left his Doctor settled on Earth with the Noble family. Especially with Ncuti Gatwa's exit and replacement with Billie Piper? How would that work?

David Tennant's Current Status:

Bi-generation: At the end of the 60th anniversary specials, the Doctor bi-generated, meaning both the Fourteenth Doctor (Tennant) and the Fifteenth Doctor (Gatwa) now existed simultaneously.
"Retired" on Earth: Tennant's Fourteenth Doctor chose to stay on Earth with Donna Noble and her family (including Wilfred Mott and Rose Noble, along with Mel Bush) to heal from his past traumas and live a more "human" life. He even has his own TARDIS.

Showrunner Russell T. Davies has stated that the Fourteenth Doctor is "parked" for now and that there are no immediate plans for his return. Tennant himself has also indicated he won't be back "for a while."
Thematically, he's processing: The idea is that this "retirement" allows the Fourteenth Doctor to process all the trauma and experiences of his many lives, leading to the more upbeat and healthy Fifteenth Doctor.

Why a return with the Nobles and UNIT makes sense (theoretically)

Established setting: The Nobles are already a key part of the Fourteenth Doctor's current life, and UNIT (Unified Intelligence Taskforce) is the natural organization for the Doctor to work with when on Earth. Kate Stewart and UNIT have a long history with the Doctor and frequently deal with alien threats on Earth.
Different kind of Doctor: His "retired" status could allow for a different kind of Doctor Who story. Perhaps less about grand universe-saving and more about localized, personal threats or mysteries.

With Ncuti Gatwa's exit and the new incarnation to focus on the Universe at large while the resident incarnation dealing with Earthbound issues, in many ways as the Jon Pertwee Dr did . Dr John Smith.

Fan appeal: Tennant is hugely popular, and seeing him interact with the Nobles and UNIT in a sustained way would be a massive draw for many fans.
Potential Storylines if this were to happen:
Earth-bound threats: Localized alien invasions or temporal anomalies that UNIT calls upon the Fourteenth Doctor for assistance with, given his unique insight and connection to Earth.
Donna's "DoctorDonna" abilities: Exploring residual effects of Donna's time as the "DoctorDonna" or new ways her meta-crisis abilities might manifest or be used.

Mel Bush's role

Mel is now living with the Nobles, and her UNIT background could be a direct link to involving the Fourteenth Doctor.
Character-driven stories: Focusing more on the emotional aspects of the Doctor's recovery and his interactions with a "found family" on Earth, while still having adventurous elements.

Soft crossovers
While not directly interfering with the Fifteenth Doctor's adventures, perhaps subtle hints or parallel events could connect their storylines.
Challenges and Considerations:

Over-saturating the market

Too much Tennant could potentially dilute the impact of the current incarnation whoever it is era and make it seem like the show is relying too heavily on past glories.

Maintaining the "retirement"
theme: If he's constantly in action, it undermines the idea that he's healing and taking a break. A balance would need to be struck.

Logistics: Scheduling David Tennant, Catherine Tate, and other returning actors could be complex.

Conclusion:

While Russell T. Davies has indicated no immediate plans for the Fourteenth Doctor's return, the "bi-generation" does leave the door open for future appearances. Your suggestion of him coming out of "retirement" to work with the Nobles and UNIT is a very plausible and fan-pleasing direction. It would allow for a different flavor of Doctor Who stories centered on Earth, while still respecting the ongoing adventures of the Fifteenth Doctor. It's a tantalizing possibility that many fans would love to see explored.
